Change the Story helps
Young Adults and
Faith Communities
work together
to create meaningful social change
in their communities.
We believe real change happens when people across generations build relationships, share resources, and take action together.
Communities are full of people who care.
They ‘re just not always connected in ways that enable action.
Young adults often want to make a difference but lack support or resources.
Faith communities want to engage the next generation and serve their neighborhoods, yet are unsure how to build meaningful connections.
Change the Story exists to bridge that gap, helping people across generations build relationships and work together for real community impact.
Change the Story was created after noticing the same gap across many communities.
Young Adults wanted to lead meaningful change but lacked support and connection.
Faith Communities wanted to engage and contribute but were unsure how to build authentic relationships with the next generation.
We created Change the Story to bring these groups together,
helping them build relationships, share resources, and take action that strengthens their communities.
Real change grows from relationships and shared action.
They ‘re just not always connected in ways that enable action.
Young adults often want to make a difference but lack support or resources.
Faith communities want to engage the next generation and serve their neighborhoods,
yet are unsure how to build meaningful connections.
Change the Story exists to bridge that gap, helping people across generations build
relationships and work together for real community impact.
A clear pathway from ideas to action.
Participants apply to the program and are brought together for a two-day, workshop-style experience where young adults and faith communities form teams, refine project ideas, and receive guidance and support.
Teams then launch their projects, gaining leadership experience and creating meaningful impact in their communities along the way.
REAL people.
REAL partnerships.
REAL community impact.
“I learned how to collaborate on a major project with people I never would have thought to ask.”
“I can see that the faith community is very diverse in all senses, and that there is a place for people like me.”
“I've always had a lot of hope & optimism for young adults. I recognize that they are not all the same, but on average their passion brings me hope. This program reinforces that hope & enthusiasm.”
